DP/Spatial 3D, with the help of Java3D, is a production tool used for creating 3D DP/Spatial 3D is primarily used for rendering virtual models of newly developed areas or cities. Its easily modifiable output can be a flexible and cost saving alternative to traditional means of physical modeling.

In the long run, the application is scaleable to even include existing built-up (densely populated) areas. This is, however, dependent on the gathering of 3D-data.

From the rendered output it is possible to export to a VRML file format. The result being a static VRML file that can be easily saved by the user.
