Designer is a project-based application for managing construction and maintenance work for an utility company. The module keeps track of all the on-going and finished construction projects in the network and contains all the information needed to conduct the construction process. Main issues for Designer are work order, gra­phic information, materiel cost, labours cost, workflow and scheduling. Designer has an open interface allowing projects to be initiated and closed from an outside sys­tem. Information such as cost estimation and materiel bills can also be made accessible to external systems if required.
