Göteborg Energi AB and Digpro AB sign a contract on NIS for electricity, district heating/cooling, gas and communication

Göteborg Energi AB has signed a contract with Digpro for its Facilplus Spatial, a network information system for electricity, district heating/cooling, gas and broadband.

Facilplus Spatial will constitute the main IT tool at Göteborg Energi for project work, preparation work, documentation and maintenance, as well as managing faults and stoppages when they occur.

 In the project, the system will be integrated with a number of the several Göteborg Energi operating systems, such as the SCADA system and customer and finance systems.

Facilplus Spatial is a completely web-based solution, built on Oracle Spatial for the storing of all network related information. A great deal of emphasis has been placed on user friendliness. The system is wholly roll-based and can therefore be easily adapted to suit the various processes that the organization works with.

Delivery and start up of operations are taking place stepwise until 2010.
