Digpro’s web based geographic information technology (GIT) will assist Stokab to better manage network planning, projecting, analysis and documentation.
When the time came for Stokab to take its network information system for city networks to the next level, using only one common platform, the solution of choice was DP/Com. DP/Com provides Stokab with better core operational support as well as meeting the demands for quality control and user accessibility.

DP/Com is a network information system that is designed for effectively managing documentation, planning and analysis of fiber optic and telecom networks. All information, graphic and characteristic data, is managed by the same database manager which is accessed and updated through a web based user interface.
DP/Com is built on an Oracle Spatial database in combination with a web based interface. The same base components included in the DP/Com system were also delivered to Digpro customers such as Sydkraft and Stockholm’s Fire Department among others.
Stokab is building and maintaining a content provider independent fiber optic infrastructure used for telecom and data communications throughtout greater Stockholm. Suppliers of broadband services or customers who need their very own exclusive data communication can lease connections in this infrastructure. Components of Stokab’s infrastructure, such as: distribution points, antenna locations and radio networks can be leased out as well.
