When Digpro was contracted by Stockholm’s Sureveying and Planning Department, SBK, to develop a new production environment, it became apparent that the information technologies Digpro works with provide not only powerful but extremely flexible solutions for large and small clients alike.
For SBK, there are two new modules based on the DP/Cadaster platform. One developed in Microstation for managing base maps and 3-D data as well as an ESRI module used for managing overview maps. Baggis will also be integrated with LV, an application used for both road related information as well as distributing data to the Surveying Office.
By selecting to use Digpro’s base platform, DP/Spatial, SBK and Stockholm City are not only able to work with a number of other modules such as MicroStation and ESRI, but also have the advantage of sharing the same database and object-oriented structure. This significantly simplifies the fundamental process involved when distributing and integrating SBK’s geographic data with other orgainzations citywide.
