Telia Sonera AB has signed a contract with Digpro AB for developing and start up of MIMER-P.
MIMER-P (Multipurpose Information Management and Exchange for Robustness Prototype) is a prototype for a joint situation assessment.
The objective of the project is to create a real time picture regarding ongoing disruptions obtaining information concerning telecommunication network status from different operators.
There are certain standards in the project to apply when presenting disruption information to external users and telecom operators as well as a special interface to SOS Alarm. The system should be redundant and placed in protected space.
The project is conducted within the National Telecommunications Coordination Group (NTSG) and PTS is the project coordinator for MIMER-P. There is more information about the project on the home page of PTS.
The contract with Telia Sonera AB includes developing the functionality for presenting current disruptions in fixed telephony and broadband network on a map via Internet web browser and an advanced message system to inform telecom operators and SOS about fixed telephony disruptions. There should be integrations with different operation monitoring systems using by Telia Sonera.
Web-client for operation disruption map should be based on Open Layers and Digpro platform DP/Spatial based on Oracle Spatial.
Delivery and start up of operations are taking place in Telia Sonera at the end of year 2008.
